Hillview is the perfect base for touring and visiting many attractions. Huntly and the surrounding area is steeped in history with dramatic ruins, tower houses and magnificent mansions. We are right in the heart of castle county with thirteen of the world's most striking castles found along Scotland's only Castle Trail. Visit the historic Huntly Castle, which is noted for it's splendid architecture.

 

Why not visit Speyside, home to the world famous Malt Whisky Trail, which includes eight different distilleries each with their own special feature's as well as a cooperage. Or if you fancy something more scenic visit the Costal Trail, here you can not only enjoy the picturesque former fishing villages and the larger fishing ports but also the unspoilt beaches, spectacular cliffs and wildlife galore.

 

Sport enthusiasts can go skiing at the Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre, which is Britain's only purpose-built all-weather facility for cross-country skiing or visit the local Swimming and Fitness Centre. 

If you fancy some fishing, Loch Insch & Artloch fisheries offer trout fly-fishing, or you may want to head to the River Deveron, one of 

the top 5 rivers in Britain for salmon. There are also many forest trails nearby which are perfect for mountain biking, walking or cross country skiing in the snow, or for something more leisurely, how about a round of golf, at Huntly's 18 hole Golf Course.

North East Falconry Centre - spectacular Falcons, Owls and Eagles are permanently on display.
